BRUINS GET A PAINT JOB!

UCLA and Southern California are not playing for the Pac-10 title this weekend, but that doesn't mean the rivalry lacks passion. Three days before the showdown of Los Angeles schools, someone splashed the UCLA Bruins mascot with the gold and cardinal colors of the Trojans.

The UCLA Bruins mascot needs some cleaning after being splashed with the colors of Southern California.

The statue on the Westwood campus had been wrapped in a tarp to protect it from such a prank. However, someone cut through the barrier either late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning and was able to get away with defacing the mascot.Officials were not in a laughing manner afterwards. Police say the prank is being treated as a felony vandalism.
Southern California is taking steps to ensure that its Tommy Trojan mascot will not meet a similar fate this week. The statue is being guarded in shifts through the week.

The 12th Annual Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion presented by Plastics Make it Possible^SM will be returning to the fabulous Petersen Automotive Museum (where the show has occured the past two seasons) to kick off the debut of Rock Fashion Week Los Angeles.

Fresh Faces in Fashion is Gen Art's anchor fashion event which showcases 5 emerging womenswear and menswear designers on the runway and 4 accessories designers in standing installations.

The evening will be hosted by actress Kaley Cuoco, who is a lead on CBS's "The Big Bang Theory."

Expected guests include Debi Mazur ("Entourage"), Johnny Galecki ("Big Bang Theory"), Monet Mazur ("The House Bunny"), Lo Bosworth ("The Hills"), Karina Smirnoff ("Dancing with the Stars"), Nicky Hilton, Ashley Palmer ("Paranormal Activity") and Shiva Rose, with many more others...

The show will accommodate 1,000+ guests including fashion industry members, press, celebrities and Gen Art supporters.

This year's show marks the debut of Gen Art's new partner Plastics Make it Possible^SM, a program sponsored by America’s plastic makers through the American Chemistry Council. Plastics Make it Possible^SM highlights the many ways plastics inspire innovations that improve our lives, solve big problems and help us design a safer, more promising future.
