(April 11 & 12, 2009) Los Angeles, CA. Today I got the opportunity to work with client & close friend of mine, Elliott Yamin. Many of you will remember the name if you are a devoted American Idol follower, and for the true music connoisseurs, you know this R&B crooner from his chart topping hit "Wait for You" last year. Elliott's genuine personality and incredible talent make him a true blessing to work with. With director-extraordinaire, Nick Spanos at the helm again (directed the "Wait for You" video) this treatment was taking it to a whole other level!
Day 1 was at the Los Angeles Theatre in down town. Absolutely stunning, we all oooh-ed and awww-ed because it was something out of a fairytale, the dramatic red velvet staircases and glittering chandeliers left everyone speechless. And oh, if those walls could talk they would probably have the best stories of Old Hollywood royalty gathering to watch their favorite play.
Today these walls were radiating a whole different tune, . . ."Fight for Love", Elliott's first single off his sophomore album that drops May 5th (yes, Cinco de Mayo- treat yourself to margaritas and an album, what could be better?)

Day 2 was at a warehouse location in Los Angeles. Elliott will release the single "You Say" to his Japanese audience (but don't fret US fans, this song is on the US album). This was the day of Elliott & his band (shout out to Russ, Jooney, Aaron, Jamie, and Glenn) & a cameo by Buster Magoo Paetz-Yamin.
The "You Say" video has more of a raw, un-cut feel to it, as it captures more of the essence of Elliott and his band. The one thing to admire about Elliott's style is that he stays true to his own personal style-- effortless. He loves Chucks, skinny jeans, vests, retro jackets, and aviator shades.
L to R: Jeff Rabhan (manager), me, and Jaime on the set of "You Say".
Ok, and because I have been getting tons of emails from Elliott's adoring and very loyal fans. I will break it down for you, as far as, wardrobe he wore.
